Part II covers obsessive compulsive and related disorders, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, feeding and eating disorders, gender dysphoria, disruptive, impulse-control, and conduct disorders, substance-related and addictive disorders, and borderline personality disorder.

About the Course

After taking this course, you will be able to:

 

  • Better understand the criteria and diagnosis of obsessive compulsive and related disorders
  • Better understand the criteria and diagnosis of trauma- and stressor-related disorders
  • Differentially diagnose acute stress disorder from posttraumatic stress disorder
  • Better understand the criteria and diagnosis of the eating disorders (such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder) and the psychological and physiological implications of the disorders.
  • Better understand the criteria and diagnosis of disruptive, impulse-control and conduct disorders and be able to differentially diagnose them.
  • Better understand substance-related and addictive disorders.

Faculty

Shawn Lawrence is an associate professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Central Florida. She is a licensed clinical social worker and holds a Ph.D. in social welfare with an emphasis in behavioral health from the University at Buffalo.

 

Reshawna Chapple is an associate professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Central Florida. She is a licensed clinical social worker and holds a Ph.D. in justice and social inquiry from Arizona State University.

 

Linda Manning is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice. She is also adjunct faculty in the School of Social Work at the University of Central Florida.
